SMART REPAIR & SPOT REPAIR

Smart repair means repairing damage “smartly” with as little effort and cost as possible.
This method can be used to remove minor damage such as scuffs, dents or scratches in the helmet paint without having to completely replace the parts.

SMART Repair

Smart Repair is the umbrella term for a particularly cost-effective repair or maintenance method. This can be used to repair various minor damages to new and used helmets.

Examples of such minor damage include:

• Dents in the helmet shell
• Scratches in the paint
• Holes and cracks in plastic parts
• small stone chips on the helmet shell
• Holes in the fabric parts (for example in the retention system, TPL)

The aim of the smart repair method is to proceed as “smartly” as possible in order to return the helmet part to its original condition with little effort and low cost.

SPOT Repair

Spot repair is a special type of smart repair method, namely for damage to the paintwork on the helmet. Small and medium-sized paint damage to the helmet shell can be precisely repaired
(German for “spot” = point). The repair is carried out directly on the helmet, no part of the helmet needs to be removed or replaced. For example, deep paint scratches can be filled in, the surface sanded smooth again and then repainted and polished in specific areas. The goal is to repair the helmet as perfectly as possible and with minimal effort.
